The Jefferson County Economic Development Consortium (JCEDC) administers programs that provide financial support to eligible Jefferson County residents interested in purchasing or repairing a home.
Homebuyer Assistance Programs
The Jefferson County Economic Development Consortium (JCEDC) administers the Down-Payment Plus Program and HOME Consortium Down-Payment Assistance Program. These programs provide funding for eligible homebuyers toward the purchase of a home in Jefferson County. The funding can be used to pay for part of your down payment, all customary closing costs, prepaid items, reserves and homebuyer counseling.
Qualified applicants may use the Down-Payment Plus Program and HOME Consortium Down-Payment Assistance Programs separately, or they may be combined. Visit our Homebuyers Program page for more information.
Homeowner Repair/Rehab Programs
Jefferson County also administers deferred loan programs that provide income-eligible homeowners with access to funds for modest home repairs. Visit our Homeowners Program page for more information.
The JCEDC has adopted National Industry Standards for homeownership education and counseling. This is a set of guidelines for quality homeownership and counseling services. Industry professionals who adopt these standards can be trusted to provide consistent, high quality advice. To learn more about these standards, visit homeownershipstandards.org
